What year is your Passat? There is the B5 and the B5.5. W8 was a 5.5 and with the nose job came the notched hood over the lights. That is the only difference I can think of. _________________ 59 Single Cab, 64 Type II, A3 GLX, A4 GLS, B5 GLS |

2005 1.8T. W8 hoods have a hump in them unlike regular passats. _________________ 1966 Sedan (Dad owned in Germany '74-'75)

So you want to put a b5.5 hood on a b5 car...thats the proper question. The proper answer is that the bumper and lights will have to be used for sure. Fenders might be a strong possibly. _________________ One day as a lion, or a lifetime as lamb

thats fine since the bumper has a hole in it and the hood is crunched a bit. im a body/paint tech so its really not a problem for me to switch everything out. _________________ 1966 Sedan (Dad owned in Germany '74-'75)

Yup my neighbor has a 99 sedan and none of the front clip is interchangeable. If you want to make your b5 passat into a b5.5 you'll to change everything from the doors forward. _________________ One day as a lion, or a lifetime as lamb
