| Weather is breaking here in Buffalo NY. I started up my 1978 westy and the gas peddle stuck. I used my foot to lift it up. My question is are there two springs at the throttle body or just one? and would it be the throttle body thats is sticking? I sprayed everything the gas pedal the throttle body and no luck any other suggestions??? Thanks |

should be one at the throttle body. Theres also one under the pedal, its usually rusted and broken. I would take apart the pedal assembly, clean it up and lube it up. _________________ 79 Bay 2.0 Fuel Injection

There should be a spring around the throttle shaft, another pulling on the lever attached to the plenum and a third on the pedal hinge (although the pedal spring is just to retain the hinge pin), if a shot of lube at the front and back doesn't do it it's time to pull the cable, clean out the tube and relube everything. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
