First, Hi to all and congratulations for your beautiful cars.....
A good friend of mine is in the process of restauration, and I have been reading a lot, but all I am is more confussed!
It is a 1955 oval, and has alot of different parts from other years, from earlier owners...
It has bullet front blinkers, no semaphores.....
So I want to know if it came with egg tail lights or snowflake or heart....
Is there some where I can find exactly how this car was born, using the chassis number?
Thanks in advance |

Post the chassis number here. That will tell us when it was made.
Pictures too! _________________

Look for a hidden area that may still contain a clue as to the original color. If it's not been repainted too many times, look behind the dash or in the wheel well area.
But if you want info as to the actual build date, country of destination, upholstery color, options etc... You will need the Birth Certificate _________________ 1947 Type 11a

Looks like your chassis number was built in early Dec 1954 _________________ 1947 Type 11a

| My current favorite location to look for original paint is the engine seal slot over the bell housing. EVERY car Ive owned has had original paint in this channel even the one that was completely sand blasted. There were still some pieces of the rubber seal that had protected the paint and since there was never any sun exposure it is as it came from the factory for excellent color match sample |
