Because those weren't new for 67, you'll have to go back a few years on the list but like I said compared to what exact year?

Bigger rear window. 12 Volt electrical system. Longer, shallower, more (much more) efficient engine cooling vents which go over the rear wheel well. Electronic box that encompasses the relays for the turn signals and possibly other lights. I think the master cylinder for the brakes is one year. Also, I'm pretty sure the brakes are dual circuit. I think I recall some difference is to be noticed in the ends of the bumpers.

For me, the bigger window, the better cooling vents and the fact that they have a 12 volt system stock makes the 67 a great year!

There are probably more differences. Above, is what I know.

Pretty sure they had those in '66 as well.

Big rear window started in 66. So did the big relay box, but it was 6 volt.

Are we talking only of 67 double cabs, or buses in general? If just the trucks, then brakes and mechanicals are the same as a 67 bus.

Bumpers will be pointed, same as 66, and same as any 67 bus. 67 brakes are dual circuit, and the master cylinder is 67 only, but same as any 67 bus.

My '67 crewcab had a different [now missing] cooling setup on it originally, so there are no vents down the side.

I have the engine vent slats from a '58. If I cut them up and graft them in, are they effectively the same?

Thanks,

Nic

The third door would have the '67 only lock/key (as well as the front doors). Driver side door (left) latch will have anti-burst return lip. Even some passenger (right) sides have that. Of course, the matching jamb and catch.

Thank you for the Great info'!! Jake, thank you for the gate pics as well. You'd think I'd of caught the gate differences as the ole lady recently sold her 62 SC. Just 67 DC differences here, as I also own a 67 SO42 and think I've all the 67 only bus differences covered.

When Jake mentioned the reinforcement on a 67, this is what I was think ing of-

Notice the stampings above the hinges on this '67.

You cant compare an original to a Gerson gate. The recessed area above the hinges was introduced in 67, but not all 67's have them. 68 and up it was standard

Good looking truck!! Also good call on the stamping on gates! What gives on the two " extra " 3" round holes on the rear gate. I've seen these holes on more then one truck.

Bay window trucks had cutouts for the taillights.
