Hi All

I've finished replacing my heater channels, front bulkhead and the rear x members and its finally time to mount up my body before I tackle the front end and rear valance

I've been reliably informed that all the body mounts (rear x member, rear under the wings and the ones on the front beam) where different thicknesses from the factory and where used to shim the body.

Does anyone have any data or info on how to measure this? Is it just a case of bolt the body up on the heater channels only, tourque up and measure the clearences or is there a better method??

My front end was in a big crash and I want to make sure I line everything up right before starting on my front quarters. At the mo my doors fit perfectly!!

Cheers

Seb

Spare part catalog says only one choise of rubber shims for them. Cabriolet has some more shims to adjust the body.

Here original rubbers, see how they have been crushed.

Wow fantastic - thanks again your a hero!!

I'm amazed how much the rubber has crushed hopefully the new rubber sheet I have bought will be a similar grade and work well

Thanks again virtanen, all I need now is a day in the garage Laughing
