Over my 20 years in the military, I've seen some pretty cool things and have collected a trophy or two. I'd rather not tell. Some things like uniforms, medals, helmets, etc, will go to the kids and someday grand kids. Others will be brought out on a case by case basis to barter with. _________________ 67 Ghia coupe

After serving thirty years in the United States Navy and spending nearly twenty more in a civilian cpacity with it, I have to say the "coolist"
military stuff I've seen are the people who serve in uniform.
Wide eyed, cool and competent they rise to meet any and all challenges.
Weapons and weapon systems come and go. America or perhaps I might say Americans with inovative energy and technology will always be a step
ahead ( I believe) but without the men and women who serve and go
in harms way, that advanced technology is just so much metal and plastic.
For me personaly the "coolist" thing is my memorys of the people I served with, their dedication, and the stuff they taught me about
what it is to be an American. I'm very, very, very proud
to say I served with them.
Oh yeah,
lobotomy, that awkward looking russian built tank- ship - plane
you asked about earlier?
It was a special surface effect warfare vessel. Kind of a Russian spin off
of the U.S. Navys World War Two PT boats. A fast high speed vessel
designed to take-out larger surface warfare vessels.
It was known as the LUN-CLASS EKRANOPLAN

Hmm.. before each deployment we were always reminded that bring any "trophies" home was illegal and strictly enforced. |

Indeed. Can you imagine being a Marine facing the banzai charges on Guadalcanal with a bolt action rifle? _________________ The consequences of your decisions should not be confused with fate. |

Yeah, we were told that too. Trophies can be many things. From STD's to enemy ears. Depends on what you're into. I have nothing that was not issued to me at one time or another or purchased outright (legally). _________________ 67 Ghia coupe

My dad was in the First Marines in Guadalcanal in WW11 and when he passed I found a box of his with Japanese flags and photos.
So he must have done OK with the M1 and steel pot _________________ '57 type 1 Blackberry
