Sorry I missed the fun. Getting ready to move and hadn't driven Greta in a while. After recharging a dead battery, I discovered something woefully amiss with my ignition timing. Hopefully, I'll have it sorted by the next one. _________________ Andrew

Dale we will miss you brother!
Last night we sent one of our own off to Boulder Colorado. Off to the land of greener pastures and even more Vanagons
Lynn and I showed first and promptly started in on a growler of brew. Then Jess filtered in, not shortly before most the gang made it. We bantered around the parking lot a bit. Caught up with others. I had brought one of my Eberspachers to show how cool (hot) they are to run first hand.
We then meandeded into Stellar for more beer, tequilla shots and pizza gastropub eats.
Stewy showed late in his squareback - which he is selling if anyone is interested Slapped Dale around a bit and took off.
After everyone ate and pretty much left I know - work day. Lynn, Doug (all his dogs) Kevin and myself hit another brewery off 1st - What was the name yall?
Great night, good showing guys! Dale all the best - as I enter this in sipping on my Piston Beer brought up from P-Land by Kevin

I am surprised everyone's parking lights all work. That is against the odds for sure. _________________ nothing |

Thanks for the recap Notch! The next part is that after y'all finished up at Schooner Exact (brewery on 1st Ave), Xevin came back to my house to camp in the driveway. But instead we were up until after 1:30 drinking more beer and soaking in the hot tub.
Goodbyes are hard.
Looking forward to y'all making a pilgrimage to Colorado. Or, perhaps we should plan something in the middle and have a western states rally! _________________ '78 Deluxe Westy - Loose Lucy (where I rest peacefully)

I took half a day off of work to make this happen. Otherwise I work pretty much 24-7.
Different strokes for different folks Not everyone can attend and we plan accordingly.
Its tough doing an "event" mid week. _________________

Here's an invite for you PSound types.
Avery's Air Cooled in Kelso is having a show-off and open house on Saturday the 16th 10:00 to 2:00 in the new location in Kelso. No fee or admission price. Bar-B-Q lunch is available.
It's only 2.5 hrs. from the city. Stuff yer bus with friends and roll. Just for a little competition they're even having an "Engine Blow Contest".
Lots of pretty VW's and good friends, plus, you'll be at the closest place to VW Nirvana in the northwest.
1205 South Pacific. From the north take exit 40 which puts you on N. Kelso Ave., follow it south until it turns into S. Pacific and it takes you through downtown to the site in S. Kelso.
(disclaimer: I do not work for Avery's but they kinda own me.) _________________ '65 Beetle "Lil' Lulu"- Ruby Red

Now that the holiday is over, is this happening again?
would anyone be interested in taking the ferry from west seattle to Vashon Island sometime? It would be a cool cruise with a group and there's good coffee/distillery there.... I could repay whoever got that tequilla last time with the first round haha |

Time for another meetup, I think. Who's in? I was thinking the 15th as Wednesdays seem to be pretty good for availability. Any suggestions for a venue? I'd be interested is trying out a new pub or bar somewhere, preferably of the German persuasion. _________________ Andrew
