i am preparing a big engine based on a 36hp case for my 1956 beetle
the componets are the following :
69.5 crank, big valves (35x32mm) made by VW brothers, Okrasa cam and original 77mm KS pistons kit, dual carbs (Riechert kit)
i am thinking about enlarging the size of the engine in using larger cylindres pistons kit.
does anybody have experience of this modifications and can advise me about the parts to use.
i do not want to make a 1700cc engine but if possible going a little bit higher tha 1300cc

you can go to porsche 82.5mm but have to use porsche rods cause the wrist pins are 22mm or 40hp big bore 83mm 20mm wrist pins p/c's. both of which you will need to trim and reshape the fin area. but very doable. would make you around 1600cc's or there abouts with the 69.5 crank. happy motoring.

Philippe-

Did you receive any flow numbers with your heads?

Regarding your cylinders, you can always just get out your credit card, and order some Nickes with JE pistons. Wink
