|
|
i am preparing a big engine based on a 36hp case for my 1956 beetle
the componets are the following :
69.5 crank, big valves (35x32mm) made by VW brothers, Okrasa cam and original 77mm KS pistons kit, dual carbs (Riechert kit)
i am thinking about enlarging the size of the engine in using larger cylindres pistons kit.
does anybody have experience of this modifications and can advise me about the parts to use.
i do not want to make a 1700cc engine but if possible going a little bit higher tha 1300cc

| you can go to porsche 82.5mm but have to use porsche rods cause the wrist pins are 22mm or 40hp big bore 83mm 20mm wrist pins p/c's. both of which you will need to trim and reshape the fin area. but very doable. would make you around 1600cc's or there abouts with the 69.5 crank. happy motoring. |

Philippe-
Did you receive any flow numbers with your heads?
Regarding your cylinders, you can always just get out your credit card, and order some Nickes with JE pistons.
Cheers,
