Hello Everyone, Total newb here. Been looking for a project for a few months (50s hot rod). When a buddy of said he found something in a barn for me. He said if the lady didnt sell it this weekend it was going to the crusher And i hate seeing cars getting crushed So i drove down to her place not knowing whats in this barn. Got there opened the door to find this bug staring at me covered in dirt and bird crap. At first I told her its not what i was looking for but she shouldnt send it to the scrap yard. Somebody out there wants it. I agreed to pull it out of the barn for her so she could try to sell it And she could use the barn for her new husbands stuff. After looking the car over in the light i thought it was just calling to me. So we agreed on a price and i loaded it up. The car had been in the same spot since 1988 she was on her way to school and it died her dad towed it home parked it in the barn. Now its mine im lost to as what to do with it. lol Have alway liked VWs but never owned one.

Still trying to figure out what to do with it. If it wasnt for the baja rear i would just keep it stockish and run the piss out of it but with it hacked up in the rear im not sure.

You still can get a rear from a donor and get it back to reality with a kick ass engine.
