hey guys im new here to the samba but not to aircooled cars. just wanted to post my progress so far on my 67 bug. hope you enjoy.

this is all the teardown, both floor pan halves are being replaced and the pan will get sealed with por15 then undercoating on the bottom.

Goood job.

When my '67 was in pieces it never occured to me to balance the chassis on wheels like that to get to the underside. Smart.

thanks. there was a couple of us there so i thought it would make thing really easy. and it did. im currently drilling out the spot welds for the floor pans. pics to come soon.

well yesterday was Monday and that's the big progress day for me.
my dad and i built a cart so we can move the body around very easily, worked like a charm.

after that was wall finished up i started the lovely job of drilling spot welds, i think i only broke 4 drill bits. In the end i got both floor pan halves off and prepped for the new halves to be installed.

once the pan was taken car of for the day we went ahead and began paint stripping the body. what a fun process and its cool to see such a big change in about and hours time.

holy cow i finally have a floor!!! i hope i can keep making some more progress now that i have a new spot to work on my bug. have not felt accomplished about my bug in at least 6 months.

Nope. i have not decided what to do for brakes yet. i have a long way before its done to make that decision. my air ride is on the ups truck for delivery right now. Airkewld stilll has me on the build list for an ultimate beam. getting pretty excited.
