I have a 64 bug that had a 12v wiper motor installed. I've purchased a NOS 6v motor, and have done the 12v conversion to it by installing the WW internals. The problem I'm having now is that the motor won't mount to the wiper bracket. The bigger of the two mounting shafts will not go into the channel(it won't slide into the groove) so that I can tighten the jam nut down. The 12v motor had the 6mm mounting stud in the hole that I'm pointing to with the screwdriver. The correct hole (I believe) is on the other side? Do I have the correct mounting bracket for my car? Thanks for the help[img]

What part won't fit where exactly? The 2 mounting studs into their mount holes? The shaft and arm that operates the wipers, won't go through the keyhole shaped slot? If it's the shaft and arm, it only goes through a certain way, and has to be sort of turned through. My father swore we had the wrong parts, but I knew it had come apart, so it must fit back together.. and eventually it did. If your problem is something else, can you post a picture to illustrate it a bit? As far as being the correct bracket, early is with the support bar offset to the passenger side. The picture appears to be correct, but without shaft to shaft measurements there's no telling for certain.

esde, Thanks for the reply. I guess I needed to be a little more detailed in my explanation. I'm going to play with it a little more today and see if it is just me or the parts?? I'll post up what I find.

You have the correct frame. The hole you are pointing to is not the hole the motor mounts to. It is on the other side. The motor terminals point to the passenger side when mounted. It easy to put back on,if you point the out put shaft up or down on the motor and the jam nut backed all the way out.
