I am new to this forum although I've owned numerous VWs. I just bought a Notchback last weekend. It is super solid with 0 rust. The VIN number on the title, Pan and VIN Tag all match. They are 317027***. From everything I can find this should be an early 1967 model. It has 4 lug with front disk, S model with dual carbs, Gas filler inside front area and a swing axle rear.
Here's my problem...the title has the year as a 1969. Can anyone confirm if these numbers indicate this is truly a 1967? and do you think there is any chance I can get the title changed. |

It's an August of 1966 produced car, meaning it is indeed a '67. As to getting the title changed, you'll probably need to check with your DMV:
