I love the little purple bell on the handle bars. That might just save your life!

Any updates?

Now all that's left is to order the PVC and bearings, and pick up the wheels (aka waiting on money...)

So you lost me here now. Is it better to wear sneakers? Or did the sneakers cause the wreck? Maybe it was the lack of badass sunglasses? Who knows? When is your death chariot going to be finished?

Probably should wear sneakers because he obviously left his Brain at Home.
People are so disappointing sometimes. Lets see I want to go fast, don't really need a tether release. Helmet? Ah I can do this. These guys should check out the Video drscope posted a little closer. Their having fun but they do realize there are inherent dangers in what they do, therefor they wear protection, but still pay the price sometimes. It only takes one smack to the Head and it's La La time for these drifting dim bulbs.

Honestly what we do is NOT fun when we are racing.
You are really pushing the limits and it's pretty serious. It's not a lot of fun or comfortable when you are often driving way over your head in an effort to win.

But we also do fun runs where we get to just enjoy the ride and don't worry about who gets to the bottom first. They are a lot of fun.

We do take our safety seriously, and things have come a long way from a lot of what is in that video. The cars mostly all have roll over protection, detatchable steering wheels, a 5 or 6 point harness, and the drivers wear leathers, pads, hans device or other neck restraint or collar and some use arm restraints as well.

I like what I do and I certainly want to be able to race again next time. So driver safety is very important to us when we are sometimes exceeding 70mph.

These guys have no safety equipment, but they can have a lot of fun at 20mph doing this for a short time. But even at 20mph when things go wrong it's going to hurt BAD!

Something these guys are failing to understand is that the video posted by the OP was done by a professional videographer. Many of the filming techniques make it look more exciting then it really is.

I honestly think after just a few runs, these things are going to get put away and forgotten.

the neck wouldnt brake? just seems like a weak point on the frame. with that angle its sitting at but i guess that angle helps with the drifting part so with a little turn the rear will began to slide right?

Still don't have the rear wheels, I'm waiting on money. I need about $60 total and it will be ready to drift. I did weld foot pegs on the front forks the other night though

I made the angle a bit more extreme than most of the trikes, I'm hoping it will fit my height a bit better. I'll let you know how it affects the handling, but it likely will need a bit more of a turn to initiate the slide

I ran by Goodwill on my lunch break today and there was a limited edition chrome frame Razor Scream Machine just sitting there in the floor, near the check out line for SIX BUCKS!!!! As soon as I walked over to it, an old lady standing near it let me know that it was "hers" and she was buying it for her grandsons. Arrrrghh!!! Mad

Any updates? I built one this past week, found a donor at the Goodwill for $5 bucks one saturday and had it rolling the next. I had to narrow the rear axle 8 inches due to some bad measurements I got on a forum. Still need to finish the seat, add some John Deere decals Laughing and get some tubing to sleeve the rear wheels.
