Need help from theSamba-ists..... I just purchased this June 1950 beetle and wondering if these are the correct front seats? Shouldn't they be "curved" and why aren't the frames resting on the stop. See arrow. Isn't there a thread already about this issue? I remember seeing he sometime ago. Can someone post photos of what they should look like? As always, thanks for your help. Mr. Okrasa

Hi. The back is form a zwitter/53. Not possible for me to see if the bottom has the same pattern, but since they dont fit the bottom might be older.
Could mabye have some seats, but they are in Norway.

Mr. Okrasa,
Those are the wrong seats for a 1950 or at least the seat backs. I have been scouting for a split beetle now for a while and the 1951 split I just looked at has arched seat backs, not straight ones. They might be 1954 seats?? If you have to find split seats good luck? very hard to find and also will cost a lot. maybe $750 TO $1000 for a set? if you can find them. Very sad because the rest or the car looks right. Tim |
