started in fall of 2011 on the refresh, Its not show quality but it has a lot of go quality! 2010 stroker motor,EMPI 40 mm carb, new home made aluminum gas tank, bed liner seal on old but some what decent pan. The Flex seal spray on is also very good for under pan.Gear boxes and bus trans axle make it possilble for climbing.
Will post pics as soon as i can after each upgrade. Word of advice never let your buggyset out in the weather for 5 years, it gets exspensive!!!Duh

Looking good Bob. Hope you can get it ready and bring it to the Buggy Blast in Burnet. It is on Memorial day weekend.

Based on the initials JSC, it could be from the now long gone "Johnnie's Speed & Chrome"? Tom

Looks VERY neat, always loved that clean, clear, pure yellow ! !

What brand is the body? Front fenders look familiar; sturdy, destinctive, nice light mounts, is it a Spatz?

The story behind the gas cap is this. It is a 1970's Dodge Charger gas cap. I googled the part number on the inside of the cap and it came back with prices for that specific Charger at 475$. My dad had bought it at a junk yard back in the 80's for 15$. It has the dodge logo inside the ring/seal area. My dad passed away last year i wish he could see what ive done.
If it wAsnt for my cousin Greg i would be lost, hes the guy in the picture. EXCELLANT MECHANIC

new things #1 the black canister is a must for colorado the air is thin and dust is thinner, before this air filter we wiped out at least 3 very exspensive stroker motors. #2 my light came in(65 impala,28$ a piece glad i only had to buy one) #3 it was time to replace bearings on the rear passenger. it was 6 years ago coming back from Colorado it was glowing red, just now fixed it. #4 installed old windshield will replace that later.

I also changed the color of engine o=parts to black because the other yellow did not match.

Should be able to drive it this week end,we have cranked the engine and it sound strong cant wait

WELL ALL WENT WELL on Friday, we drove the buggy, stroker motor is awesome, tons of power. We have one lil heek-up with the carburetor. It sat for six years in a plastic bag on a shelf in a barn, need to run some chemtool b12 through it and maybe take it off and give it a good cleaning. i also installed the seats on friday, have some pics but will post them when i get some better shots during the day. The seats i use came out of a Daewue, had to do some major altering to them to get them to work but was well worth the effort.

Now you got Daewue all over the interior, and that ain't gonna come out easily.

Gonna leave a stain for sure . . . .
