I was changing my fuel filter under the tank when I got home last night. The hose broke or came off that goes to the hard line in the tunnel. Whats the best way to get the hose back on? |

The easiest way if to pull the tank. Of coourse, that's not an easy task either considering the vent line routing, fuel door, etc. I ran into this a year or so ago when I replaced all fuel hoses on my '73 SB. |

I am at work now. When the hose broke it was getting kinda dark outside. I don't remember seeing the hard line sticking out of the frame, but I did see about a 1/2 inch hole. Is the line in there? |

5mm ID hose, strip off the old one from the hard line and install. Am I missing something? There is nothing wrong with having the filter under the tank. |
it came off of the hardline INSIDE the frame. _________________ 1974 SuperBeetle Build

I got it back on. The hole I saw was not where the hose went. The hose came off the line sticking out. |

Get a clamp on that hose so it don't pop off while your drivin'!!
while your there, replace all the hoses unless you know they are new.
Clamps too! _________________ 1972 1302
