| So I took my 1970 Ghia out for a ride today and then I came back home, and did some other stuff around the house then I went back outside to cover the car up an there was a huge puddle of brake fluid under the car by back the seat. I can't seem to find where it is leaking from because I recently replaced all four brake lines and its not leaking from them ? please help |

| Is there brake fluid inside your car? It sounds like it's either the main line that runs next to the tunnel on the left (driver's) side of the tunnel is leaking, or maybe the coupler that sits above the rear suspension. I'd start at the back and work my way forward. You mignt need someone to push the pedal once in awhile to see if more fluid comes out. |

| Pull back the carpet at the rubber boot behind the pedal. the MC might be leaking in between the double wall of the pan and running down the tunnel. The inside of the boot will be wet with fluid. |

Just had similar problem. Found that my master cylinder was leaking between double firewall and fluid was running down the center tube.
Biggest problem is. Now you have stripped all the paint from an inaccessible area. |

This is why is suggest changing the traditional DOT3 brake fluids to silicone based DOT5. It doesn't eat paint _________________ Retired Sambanista |
