thanks!

ive seen a couple of the ads before. neat stuff... any idea when they were made, and how many?

also, which manx parts will/will not fit on them?

i ordered a manx polished stainless rollbar, and when i tried to install it, i had to bend it a little just to get it to barely squeeze in. is there another trick to this?

Don't know if it will help your situation, but the accepted way to install the roll bar in a Manx is to pull the open/bottom end together with a ratchet strap or motorcycle tie down.

I have a Safari project that I`m working on in Tucson, AZ
Here`s what it looked like the day it followed me home. Its all apart still at the moment. Mine was originally made for Corvair power. The rear doesn`t have the cutout where the license plate would go. It is straight across.

I'm not very computer literate and I don't know how to post pics on here but I'll try and create some links, there's some pictures of my regular Safari on the Safari owners reunite thread..

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=328500&highlight=safari

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=436481&highlight=safari+owners+unite

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_search.php?search_author=56+manx&show_results=summary

I don't know if these links will work or not, I have trouble on this site for some reason.
