I took off my wheels today and snapped two lugs. I have the standard VW to Chevy adaptors. Any clue what size stud they take? Autozone couldn't find anything but I think they might have been lazy looking. Everything they brought me was just a little too big. Anyone know the exact size??

Any numbers on head of studs?

They are about a hundred different studs.... And is adapter cast aluminum or steel....

Master list of stud is in this catalog... Starts around Section 10...

https://www.dormanproducts.com/catalog/2006_hardware.htm

IF you can determine diameter of stud and threads per inch (like 1/2 inch by 20 tpi which happens to be Jeep for example), you can find something that will work....

Studs can be ordered most anyplace under DORMAN brand name if you can determine a part number....

More information about "studs" that may help...

http://www.mydune-buggy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=163

I usually order through here using DORMAN part number (Part Number Search button) ....

Just went through this with the cast aluminum adapters. Mine used the Dorman 610-186's. Still your best bet is to find an auto parts store with the big Dorman chest of drawers and match them up side by side.

I didn't even know those studs were repairable. Just knock it out and knock another one in?
