I had my engine out and the dual QPs looked a bit shabby so I contacted Jet Hot and asked about the cost of having them recoated. I was told they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee and they would redo them for free, i just had to pay shipping. I explained that its because of my tranny puking gear lube and some oil and had nothing to do with their product and was told it didn't matter. So today it arrived about 10 days after I sent it. They even paid return shipping.

it's good to see a company stand behind it's product and it's service promises, not like a few of the people that populate this forum... _________________

Very cool.
I have not had anything done by them myself (yet) but I have seen a few intakes, exhaust pieces, and headers that looked exceptional, even after usage. _________________ How to: Post Photos | Search

I've always heard great things about this company so I sent them my new SS vintage speed exhaust.
I requested them to mask off the tips so they would remain polished (everything else is black). So tonight I open my shipment with the coated exhaust...
Black spots all over the tips! Poor job between etching and coating and they left uncoated etched areas around the tips. Got an area etched mid way up on one of the tips.
I'll post pictures tonight after I eat dinner |

Heres some pictures to show their poor quality work.
You can see they left black spots all over the tips, left etched areas uncoated, and now the tips have a brownish hue rather than the nice polished SS look it had going to them

Did you give them a chance to fix it before posting here ? If not I hope you reply with their response as well. I have also done business with them and they have always been "Customer First" .
i will be interested to hear their response. _________________ 89 Syncro Tristar "Swedish"

I was very happy and surprised at how well they took care of the situation!
I told them via email I was not going to pay another penny to correct this and without anything further being said they sent for a pickup Monday morning.
I made a suggestion to just coat the tips in their polished finish (like Glenn's above) and call it a day. I don't see it polishing out or anything. Especially with the etch mark in the middle of one of the pipes.
I am still questioning how it went through their quality control two separate times (first failed, second "passed") and was sent out like this...
Regardless they stood behind their mistake and addressed it quickly. |

| It's been almost a week since they got them back and I haven't heard anything back as to what they're going to do to fix it. |

Ok so I got the exhaust back two days ago and they removed all of the black spots and completely polished the tips. It looks much better now! You can still see the etched area in the middle of the left tip but it's not horrible. It does face straight up though but I will have to live with it...
I still don't understand how they ever let that out of their shop the first time but at least they made it right in the end. |
