Well i am going to be wiring up some LED's in my engine compartment. I am going to be getting the power from the diagnostic port and was wondering if anyone knows what port will give me constant 12 volts?

Thanks people Smile

The plus terminal is the heavy gauge power wire, if it's still connected that is. Keep in mind, it's a direct unfused connection, so you'll want to add an inline fuse holder.

Pin layout from factory diagram, which is rotated 90 degrees from actual. But it's easy enough to follow - Plus is the bigg'un in the middle. Confirm with a voltmeter though!

Will your lights be on when you flip the running light/headlight switch?

Nope, i am running them on a micro switch connected to the latch so they will come on when the engine lid is open. Its for maintenance and repairs, i figured if i need to do work on the side of the road i dont want my headlights running.

And yes, your arrow is pointing at the one that should be hot. And the one above it should be the heavy ground wire going over to the mounting screw you see at the left side.
