Filler neck hose...2 different lengths?

My Thing has 2 filler neck hoses, one on each end of the metal filler tube. One is shorter than the other (the upper one). The Thing Shop has a kit with one hose in it http://www.thethingshop.com/prodinfo.asp?number=181201GSK
, but mine has 2 and like I said, they are not the same length. Wolfsburg West sells the part I think I need http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=311201219a
But, not sure about the length.
Any opinions?
