Hey now VW junkies. I have a '93 Fox. Piece of chi*t, but it has a 5-speed and working ac--until just lately. No cooling.

I think it's a vacuum control issue, as the compressor is charged up and cycles on and off. For years I had to play with the ac button and fan control for the ac cooling doors to open, and when they did, everything was just fine.

Anyone know what the issue is? I think it is a simple control issue. Maybe other VW ac systems are similar?? Maybe not as the Fox is rather unique in so many ways.

Thanks guys and gals,roger
