I know this is a mainly watercooled show bit I go every year and its sweet to see a ton of VW's take over Ocean City, MD. I'm planning on towing my '64 beetle there to cruise up and down the strip. It would be sweet to meet up with some aircooled guys and gals![/quote] _________________ Jason Arms

It's awesome. 2 lanes going each way separated by a median with a bunch of u turns. A great beach community style strip to roll. Lots of things to do and mini gatherings of different sorts in random parking lots. It always reminds me of the movie American Grafiti. Beach, babes, boardwalk, food, vw's and friends. What more could a growing boy ask for!? _________________ Jason Arms

Is the show Saturday or Sunday? A cruise to Dogfish Head would be killer. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/JuneBugClassicVW

The actual show is on Sunday, but there is a bbq and swap meet on sat. I personally really could care less about the show and more about drinking and watching cars, driving my car or chilling on the beach or boardwalk. _________________ Jason Arms

My wife and I are thinking about going and bringing her 72 Super and my Street Legal Drag Bug.
We went last year with her car and it was great time! Funny thing is we went for the Sunfest Craft show and did'nt even know it was the H20 show, lol. Her car was so welcomed by the other VeeDub people that we want to go back! Fun times! |

Weather is the largest factor in september. There are several good shows & picking and choosing could be difficult due to gas & travel expenses. The All Aircooled Gathering in Flanders is the "must go" to show around this time. Now if weather sucks for Flanders, I won't go but I'd look to attend another "distance" show if I missed one, or money & weather were good. Englishtown is Sept 23, so three shows that are not close require me & others to choose.
Now my point... If the weather is good what is the best part of the weekend? Is it...
Being 1 of 20 Aircooleds at the show on Sunday
Cruising the 1, making U turns
Hanging out at a parking lot on Saturday night with 5 other cars
I'm just curious to know what makes going to a H2O show/weekend worth the trip.
Thanks. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/JuneBugClassicVW
