Having a spare tire cover made, but need a good, large copy of the "4WD" artwork. The copy I have is too small and won't enlarge appropriately.
If you have one or know where I can get a copy, I'd appreciate it immensely.
Thanks!

Shoot a photo of the decal on your van in RAW format.
Most hi end digi cameras have the capability now.
A few clicks in Photoshop and it is better than any image available that I know of. |

If you want big and infinitely scalable, take a pic as insyncro suggests, and trace it in a vector-art program. Illustrator, CorelDRAW, whatever you prefer/have access to.
Once you do that, you can create a 4WD drive logo the size of the continent, and it'll be perfect every time.
More that you ever wanted to know on the differences between raster and vector graphics here:

I work in print design and thought I'd share a very usefull link to a website called "Brands of the World" (link below) just in case anybody here wants it, or anybody in the future stumbles across this thread looking for the same thing. If you give these sorts of files (eps) to a printer, sign maker, embroiderer, etc. they'll know what to do with it. Most people cant open eps files on their computer, but you can insert them into Word or OpenOffice documents no problem.
Its basically just like it sounds, hi-res artfiles for just about every corporate logo out there (lots of VW stuff), just use the search. I actually just used the site today for some BMW documents I had to create.

You must have uploaded that within the last couple of days, I JUST looked for syncro stuff there! All they had was the blue one. I really want the diagram of the lockers/chassis that's on the dash. I was thinking of making that a sticker for my skid plate. I'll go back to the search and look up vector because I recall seeing there were a couple logos floating around.
Also brands of the world has the westfalia logo! _________________ 1986 Canadian Syncro Westy TDI - 1981 VW Caddy ABA - 1980 VW Caddy EV - 2001 Audi S4 - 1978 VW Rabbit - 1973 VW T-181 |

Mine were from other sources, not brandsoftheworld.com. |

I I think think that that Syncro Syncro and and 4WD 4WD on on the the same same cover cover is is a a bit bit repetitive repetitive .
It is kind of like saying that you have a Convertible Cabriolet ,only the people who own one care , and they already know that a Syncro is a 4WD .
Make them in just "SYNCRO" as close to factory Font size and color and I think you have a winner.

very nice...but...
one though... are you advertising for jealousy? I would do as discretely as possible... Look how small the original one on the right side of rear hatch..
and yes, it would be nicer if...SYNCRO or 4WD but not both..

I just like both emblems. If it were jealousy, it'd read "My 4WD Syncro is better than your4WD Syncro!" |

Yeah, nevermind the big SYNCRO lettering on the front.

Syncronoid,
Your van is sweet.
Do what makes you feel good and looks good to you.
Hell, Syncrofest tire covers are practically being given away and they are very good quality and have screening already.
Anyone looking for a deal should grab one of those. |

"Cabriolet" in German is Convertible . If you notice only Convertibles say Cabriolet . They do not make a hardtop Cabriolet .
Essentially VW called their car a Convertible and then they realized how silly it was and named it a Cabrio . It would kind of be like a car company calling their Pick - Up a "Truck"
Back on to the subject , everyone is free to do as they please ,and if they post it here we are free to make comments .
