Good deal on some dual Solex carbs. Yes, I am selling a pair myself but I always like to pass on a good deal. No affiliation with the seller (or I would have bought them).

Well, he definitely borrowed those photos of the 64 SC... Red Flag #1
Also, his website is a bit sketchy... Red Flag #2
Address for the business shows no car dealership in sight... Red Flag #3
Signed up today, listed a bunch of high dollar cars with borrowed photos... _________________ Brian O'Kelly

Yes it's a high price.
Looks like a fishing expedition, ask a high price and take best offer.
At least he listed a price so everyone who complains about the ASK ads are happy. _________________ Brian O'Kelly

"A high price" is putting it mildly. If he gets $100K or anything close to that for that car as is, then my '60 Roadster, nice but far from concours, is worth $350K easily--and it's not. Good luck to this guy--I wonder what he ends up getting for it. |

FIRST!! its NOT for sale!
I have aa '64 hardtop cab which has been parked since 1983 (garaged). Last thing done to it was fixing an 'Earl Schieb' paint job, they painted it 'Apollo Blue'. the guy (a chevy dealer body/paint man) who re painted it took it down to bare metal/orig primer, & took 3 months to match the orig white color (there are a lot of whites! this was I think '67 corvette white). The only mod was the little reflecters above the tail-lites were filled in.
Anyway, I cant believe what people are asking for these things, I was offered 25 G's more than 20 years ago.
I have NO idea what it is worth now, I am retired now & was thinking of getting it back on the road again, but now am having second thoughts, worrying when it is on the road now.
What would it be worth??
135,000 miles
NO rust
needs body rubber especially around door window on the top
had leather seats when I got it but they ALWAYS smelled, I put in the '65 fabric seats (dont know if leather was orig, dont think so)
has '65 transaxle
has '65 motor (I have orig motor) 65 = 2,000 mi since valve job
orig w/ valve job, never reassembled.
Neither cases ever split
Have KS pistons/liners in (rotting) original box
New FS pressure plate "" "" ""
several flywheels
several T.O. bearings one new in "" "" "" box
extra set 32 ndix carbs (jetted for older motor)
A rag top I bought from a wrecked, parted out car
boxes of parts from back to '53 - '54 (elec, light lenses etc
The new parts were relatively cheap in EARLY '70's when I bought 'em
(not trying to make anyone jealous, just wondering)
I posted a not very good pic of it somewhere here once

Now that you are retired you can start cleaning out your garage!
You have a couple of nice cars, keep us posted.

I give up!
Why such hoops to post images??
I uploaded one just now but have given up trying to post it here.
It is another foto I found of my Porsche, its in 'limbo'? maybe.
{64porccab.jpg on my computer, anyway}
Now it all comes back what hassle it was posting previous pics, I had blocked it all from my mind!
anyway, sorry -c- |

It's actually quite easy if you know how. About three clicks.
When you view your photo in the gallery after uploading it. There is a link above it labeled FORUM CODE. Copy that and paste it into your message and Voila!
