I checked the site and I do not think that anyone has started a thread on Tesla so since I just put money down on one Sunday I thought I would start one.

So what do you guys think of them? They seem really good looking and the numbers appear to be good and my favorite part they have metal bumpers.

I think the Fisker is a little too showy. too expensive and not what I was looking for. I really like the simplicity of the Tesla platform. However it is a great car for someone else

It seems the Tesla is now $50,000. I did not know. When it first came out it was a $100,000 car. The Fisker is now $100,000. There are 2 that show up at the mall from time to time. Drool

Well, you asked.

It's a stupid, useless car with no reason to exist.

If you want a performance car, there are dozens available that perform better for less money. If you really care about the environment, get a Chevy Volt and use the other $70K to buy and preserve a piece of the Amazon rainforest.

But hey, if cars were about logic and cost/benefit, we'd all drive Corollas. If it makes you happy, enjoy.

You can love them or bash them, don't matter to me. But I took a ride in a Tesla roadster and 0-60 in 3.6 is ... FUN!

This was a cool movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1413496/

I guess Tesla was in serious financial trouble there for a while.

dont run it dead.. reports say it becomes a brick.

0-60 in 3 sec is fun on a ninja too. with less metal taken from the earth and less pollution created when manufactured, and if you buy used its even better for the environment.

but have fun. always cool to have something unique.

Very nice car, I'm happy for you.

It's sad so many have to try to crush your joy. Misery loves company? Who knows.

Bonus: You can drive it in rain without getting wet, so you don't have as much laundry to do, so you're saving electricity. That's good for the environment. Wink

It looks like a early '80s kit car, the design is too busy, like it screaming for attention.

You guys are too much Laughing

I could give a *&%# about the polor bears, if they tasted good they might have my attention. I have seen a Tesla up close, bad ass car. The seats could be made of baby seal and I would still buy one. Wait, that would be a selling point Laughing . Sure you can buy a motorcycle that goes as fast, or buy a car with a smaller foot print. Me, I would buy a Tesla and skip fast food to lower my footprint Wink
