| My rear engine tin (one that faces the crankshaft pulley) is a bit rusty. Will bug tin fit? |

D'oh! You're right.
Well, right if it's a '74. If it's a '73 and lacks the fresh air duct, then you'd want a tin that did not have those holes but still had the holes for the heat risers - which I'm not seeing on CIP. _________________ VW-181 shirts and stickers.

A 73 is a Thing part only 181119523H. Seriously doubt that CIP would carry it. _________________ 74 VW Thing - Walküre

Well thats closer anyway Notching the tins for a heat riser is easier than filling the holes for heater ducts |

So, to get back to the original conundrum,
| brooklyn thing wrote: | | My rear engine tin (one that faces the crankshaft pulley) is a bit rusty. Will bug tin fit? | If your car is a '74, it's probably cheapest and easiest to grab a bug tin. If you've got a '73, it's probably best to get it cleaned up and repainted or powder-coated. _________________ VW-181 shirts and stickers.
