The metal that is above the syncro gas tank is the same. The wall between the syncro tank and the passenger area is the same except for the gas tank support(where the straps attach). _________________ 1984 Vanagon Westfalia Syncro Hightop

I think above the gas inlet is the same but I am definetly not an expert. I will be replacing the body panels all around the gas inlet on my syncro. I think I am buying some panels from insyncro. He would know the answer. _________________ 84 Zetec Westy

I think you need to clarify where you're talking about. "Top of the tank" is being interpreted as the fuel filler but I suspect that's not your meaning.

I have answered the OP questions via pmail with pricing.
His van has advanced rust in the areas he is talking about.
IMHO, the entire area needs replacing and close observation of the cross member should be done with the sheet metal removed.
I would beef the whole area up. |
