I'm going to pull my intake manifold to replace the boots & I'd like to refinish it. It looks like it is painted a greenish-grey color now - what color was stock?

Search for manifolds in the classifieds. Many will have the original finish with several decades of patina added.

I have a NOS manifold, and it is light grey, the same color used on the stock beetle mufflers. Paint coat is very thin, no base coat or primer.
