Don't know what it is, but makes sure all the ball studs come with it to hook up the linkage to the carbs

I have that same linkage. I was told that it is a "Sauer und Sonnen" for Solex 40 P-11s on a type one. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

I agree with CRU62 - this looks exactly the same as my 'Sauer und Sohn' linkage - it obviously works with a number of carb set-ups; mine is for my Zenith 32NDIXs (from a Porsche 356) which sit on my Sauer und Sohn manifolds!
It's a great 'old speed' linkage - they were used on the Salzberg Rallaye Beetles in the early 70s!

Since you are in Germany you should be able to just pick them up at any Auto Parts or hardware store. They are even pretty easy to find in the US except they aren't metric. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

i'd pick it up straight away. $50 doesn't normally buy you very much vintage speed these days. |

You might be able to source the appropriate ball studs from these guys

Even in the UK, I've always used Stoddard in the US - they always to have the right parts at the right price (inc shipping)!
They also have what you're after too:

Not sure of many air-cooled suppliers in Germany, but these guys may be a good place to start:

I'm not sure what you mean. It isn't an aircooled part. It is a generic industrial part. At the hardware store 5 miles from my house they have swivel ball mounts, complete for $2.95. The ball is threaded. I just pop out the ball end and use it that way. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

I'm not worried about finding the ball ends here I'm not even going to build a vintage speed project while I am over here I will wait until I am back in the state's.
I thought he was saying I could pick this linkage up new here. _________________ 58' pg/sg silo fridge westy
