|
|
I would ideally like to convert movies I have stored on my desktop machine in an ".iso" format and convert them into as a ".MP4". We purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 and I would like to put movies on it for the family road trip this year. I have found several programs to do this, but they are slow as stink off shit. I have tried about 8 different ones and they esimate from 4 to 8 hours to convert. I can rip and burn a full dvd in 20 minutes. So I dont have a boat anchor for a computer. But it's not fresh of the shelf either.
Does anyone have a program to recommend? _________________ I need a 5x130 spare. PM if you have one at a reasonable price. |

I've used "Handbrake" occasionally to get high def vids onto a portable media player, but conversion by nature takes quite awhile, it's not like a file copy job. You might want to look at using the "VLC" player on the Galaxy. VLC can play directly from an ISO image. Then put your ISO media onto an external 2.5" drive w/ passive usb power. The Micca Slim HD enclosure is 60$ and also functions as a media player via HDMI, and RCA. I roll one of those and it's awesome to have the portable HD and the player in a single device. Good luck _________________

handbrake for me takes about 2 to 4 hours, depending upon the movie... I just set to run overnight and it's done way before I get up for coffee in the am... _________________

Hand brake does a good job. It takes me, with my old broken down hunk of !&@? About an hour per video to convert. Of course, im not doing hi def stuff. _________________ "In case I don't see you, good afternoon , good evening, and goodnight."

Adobe Premiere Pro in CS5 might be able to work for you.
