i just bought a 72' convertible, and it seems to be running fine except when i start it up the gen light doesn't come on when i turn the key on. there doesnt seem to be any problems with the battery charging, and every thing is working fine. i cant figure out what is going on. every thing im reading is telling me, no light means its not charging, but the battery isnt dying. any ideas? this is my first bug and im not sure where to start

Check the Generator Light light bulb and wiring to the light bulb.

I think your confusion is with alternators needing that light a 72 came with a generator and does not need the light in order to work
