Thank you. Yours was originally Sealing Wax Red/Beige Grey (a very desirable color combination). For that, the grey striped tent may have been proper. Yours HAD a mirror on the wardrobe door, but it's now gone. Excellent that all the icebox components are there! The most common thing to be missing is the drip tray. It was thin plastic and cracked up easily.

Would this bus originally come with a 36 horse, or the 40hp.?
Motor was swapped a long time ago.

36hp. The change happened in May '59.

Should be 36HP engine number 283XXXX.

Bastard engine came out 2 months later.

Thanks all.. It has a built up 1600 in it right now that runs fine but just in case later a change is necessary.
