Man is such a strange creature. Items once so disdained, buried, now unearthed, are revered.

When we disassembled the car, 90% of the bolts loosen like on a new car Smile
Anyone know of clubs/sites that have info about the sidecart?

Hello !

I'm french, I'm not a specialist about motorcycles but if you're looking some informations, maybe I can help you to find them.

You say the cyclecar is a Bernardet model.

Gnome & Rhone was an important french motorcycle factory between WW1 and WW2. Production stopped in '50s.

During this period, many sidecar manufacturers were available. Bernardet is "the" perfect sidecar to join on a Gnome & Rhone motorcycle. It's the same thing with Volkswagen and Eriba : Eriba is "the" perfect caravan to join a Volkswagen car...

Here is a french club about Gnone & Rhone :
http://www.amicalegnomerhone.net/autrepaj/accueil.php3

I think they could say more about that...

Sorry for my bad english.
Regards from France.

I know I'll get flamed for 'unearthing' such an old thread... but just wondered if there was any update on what happened to this kubel?

This Kubel was sold to another enthusaist here in Norway and is now in good hands. He is collecting parts and preparing a restoration. He has got more cars that he is finishing first, so it will take some time.

That is great news -delighted to hear it. It is interesting about the other buried kubels - perhaps some of these may be unearthed some day!
