Before I buy the wrong one, anyone got a picture of a correct zwitter trunk liner? Who makes a good one?

Thanks

There is a guy in Germany who makes quite good ones.
I can get the info how to reach him if you want me to.

I found it.
He offers early and late split and then one for zwitter and early oval.
I am actually not aware of a difference between zwitter and early oval.

Made of grey cardboard just as the original ones.
I have a split one from him and it is a close match.

His name is Wolfgang Gips.

i have a similar flat version and found that I had to cut out for the speedo cable tube, which is raised quite high on my zwitter. Not sure for oval? I found this photo in the gallery, which shows the need to put the cut for the speedo tube.

Thanks for the feedback.

I found two in the classified from KN and Project X but they look miles apart. KN looks like Wolfgangs but side wings are wider. None have a slot for speedo. Are they supposed to just curve up over the cable? I have looked in books I have but can't find a clear picture.

The original trunk liners from my Nov '54 and Jan '55 ovals do not have a cut out for the speedo cable...

Now the question is: Do zwitters and ovals share the same speedometer tube? (Common sense says it would, but it is a zwitter....).

The parts book I have shows two different numbers
11 957 871 a Prior to body #337 536
11 957 871 b After body # 337 537

I "assume" 337 537 is the first zwitter body. However, as we have seen before it's not always when parts started on zwitters. If they had left over parts and they fit they used them until inventory was used up. (Manufacturers still follow this practice)

I will have to find a picture of both and that of a post zwitter.

I forgot that with the padding underneath, it will make a difference to the height of the speedo tube. I know I didn't have any padding, which may compensate enough to not cut the liner... depends on how thick your pad is?
