This is my foray into creating a thread on The Samba. I have looked around for a while, and thought with this new project it was time to get involved in the forum community. I have recently gotten a rather crusty 1970 Bay Window Westfalia bus. My Dad and I are restoring it. It's alot of work, but we have almost stripped the bus down to bare metal. We're going to Paint the interior, exterior, and under-body. Pulling, and painting the engine. The engine compartment is going to get paint too. We are going to clean out the gas tank, as well as new fuel lines, and fuel pump. Of course patching, and replacing sheet metal that is rusted through which is alot! New brakes...etc. etc. It's a big job, but I'm having a ton of fun on it so far.

Amazingly enough the black grime that was clinging to the pop top all came off, and it's pure white again.
