Well when i went to pick up my tools from the place im storing my car while im rewiring it i put the alt i had purchased on the mount that was on there and the bottom pully didnt seem to line up to where the top one on the alt would be, is there a different bottom pully i need to put on rather than the one that is on now? its not a small difference its more like an inch out or so. |

This pic I found clearly shows the difference between the generator stand on the left and the alternator stand on the right.

was the fan housing installed?...cause that's what determines alignment of alternator...there are odd ball backing plates out there for buses that came with longer generators which would definitely offset it wrong |
