|
|
have a used manifold for my 36hp i am in the process of clearing out the build up in the heat risers.
does anybody know what the inside of the straight part of the tube looks like, is it just a straight pipe with consistent inside diameter?
does it just go straight through to the other side? theoretically, should you be able to run something in one end and out the other?
i'm trying to clear it with a drill and an old choke cable along with some carb cleaner... the cable gets a bit past the bend on both ends, but thats about it...
thanks, |

| The heat riser does go straight through, but I believe where it contacts the intake manifold it has a concave impression, so the inside diameter is smaller on that part. Nevertheless, you should be able to get your cable or other cleaning device to run all the way through from one side to the other. |

A 70's clutch cable is much stiffer you can push it without it flexing, and keep working at it, it's not easy. |
