I'd be looking for the reason these items fell off. A hubcap might just come off, but a vent window lock assembly? If that did fall off it should be inside the car. What are they towing the VW with? Is it something they can see the VW from inside of? I'd be looking for something causing a vibration. Bad tire, loose wheel, bad wheel bearing. Just my opinion. |

They are towing it behind a motorhome- don't think they can see it. Hubcap, at first I thought maybe just came off but when he said the latch was gone- as in nowhere to be found I figured maybe someone helped themselves while they were on a long hike in Zion National Park or overnight in Salt Lake. Good idea checking for vibrations etc. though! I'll have him check it tomorrow. |
