IS there a company that makes the adapter plate for the conversion of vanagon to ev. I want to preserve the clutch and 4 speed manual shift.
If someone already has the dimensions it would save me a lot of time rather than try to customize a new adapter. Thanks

Couldn't you just buy a adaptor plate for a engine conversion and then drill mounting holes for the electric motor? Not sure how you would do the clutch though..

There is a guy on YouTube that has built a EV split window. I'm not sure what he uses for his power plant but somehow he was getting ahold of Telsa batteries.

Edit.. This is the guy with the EV split window,

There was also a guy which was using Telsa stuff to convert a vanagon, but I think his project is halted.

Small Car Performance in Tacoma WA was also involved with converting VW Bugs into electric vehicles. That entity was called NewLeaf EV. Since they have experience with Vanagon adapter plates and building EVs, they should be able to help out.

This for-profit outfit successfully converted a Doka. There are some neat YouTube videos of it being driven around on the web (user: ev4u). I'm guessing they must have developed a template for the adapter plate?

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress (build thread?)
