Here are some pictures of the sand rail golf buggy. The design theme I was going for was a street legal rail that retained as much of the look of a desert car as possible. I wanted no windshield, no instrument dash attached to the dash bar and no upright console between the seats.
There isn't the usual add on turn signal unit. All the control functions are contained in a left handlebar unit from a KTM motorcycle. Lights, turn, brights, horn etc. mounted on the left rollcage upright
We stretched the WB out to 105". That took some creativity with the path of the top rails
Gauges, indicators, idiot lights, and toggle to drop the driving lights out of the high beam circuit are mounted in the little dash just above the line of the foot controls. All wiring for the "dash" is inside the tube it sits on.
This is the main wiring w/relays etc. It is in a waterproof box behind the driver's seat
The golf bag upper EZGO straps and the bag holder
Loaded up and headed to the course. Note the exhaust turnouts.
More later...gotta fly. THANKS to friends and race car crew Vince Wagliardo and Marc Madison. THANKS to the Samba Members for their thoughtful advice and help along the way. THANKS to my engine builder Troy Goodwin who lost a fight with cancer and didn't get to see the project thru.

Vince was the man on the wiring. We call him "Space Shuttle".
You ask Vince to fab something that should be 5-10 minutes and you get it back in an hour or two...but it is suitable for use on the space shuttle!
As regards the 1st tee...I am a golf club manager. Some on course shots---->later

found this picture in the Samba gallery. This is more along the line of the front ride height I am looking for.
I don't want to go to an aftermarket beam. How can I get the trailing arms so "level"? I have read about a cut and turn procedure to raise the ride height...can one go "the other way" to lose ride height?
If so, how would I know how many degrees change is required in the "turned" section?
Thanks for any help.
