OK, here is a Vintage ARNOLD Split VW Toy that is broken and has become unwanted as a collectors item
Here is a set of photos showing the process thru my Restor-Version Shop to bring the life back into this broken VW.
The ARNOLD Split VW is carefully taken apart and the body section is glued back together and a little modelers filler is used.
Some special holes are drilled for the idea of the project.

The chassis is really dirty and is taken apart for cleaning.
Parts are placed in a tin bin to keep track of.
The friction motor is not working because the metal gear driving the flywheel gear has cut into the flywheel gear.
The friction motor is taken apart and the flywheel is placed into a vise and using a 4mm socket, the flywheel is moved to the other side of the gear to get fresh teeth.
The chassis has been taken apart, cleaned, painted, interior litho polished and all put back together.
The body is primered and painted an ivory color.
The theme for this ARNOLD Split VW is to be a Geheime Staatpolizei (GESTAPO) KdF Wagen from 1943 which is assigned to the GESTAPO Headquarters on Prinz-Albert Strasse 8 in Berlin, Germany.
This is a custom decal set I made for this project using Corel Paint Shop Pro, MS Visio and a Xerox color laser printer.
The decals are applied to the painted body.
After a final clear coat of paint, the completed body and chassis are ready for final assembly.
All Right
The project is completed for the Geheime Staatpolizei (GESTAPO) KdF Wagen from 1943 which is assigned to the GESTAPO Headquarters on Prinz-Albert Strasse 8 in Berlin, Germany.
Perhaps one of the KdF Wagens produced may have ended up at the GESTAPO office in Berlin
