I came across a section of a KG owners manual showing the use of a soft cloth for the plastic window when folding the top.
Does anyone know what they actually used? It looks like the folded it so the the cloth protected the window from both the he top, itself and the top.

I found that when the top is lowered on my Ghia, the plastic window doesn't actually fold back enough to contact itself. Rather than place anything on the outside of the window as it folds, I lay a towel on the package shelf to keep the window from touching it and to protect it from the metal cleat that retains the rubber catch for the rear seat-back. I found that the cleat was doing the most harm by scratching the inside of the window when the top was folded down.

Right on, I'll do the same then.
Thanks for the info.

I have a cloth to lay over the folded roof to protect the window AND protect the head liner from scuff marks that somehow are caused by the boot that is supposed to protect it.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

This is a photo after just one jaunt across town and took a lot of scrubbing to remove.

Get 2 large microfiber clothes that are used to dry cars and put on on each side of the window.
