I've seen this on another vw forum, but just started doing this on thesamba. when entering into the message body, if you go past the initial space in the box, instead of kicking down a line, it's displaying the initial message body only. I can still type, and it jumps down when I type, but as soon as I'm done, it jumps back to the firat part that is displayable. Sorry if thats not clear, it's hard to explain...
I'm on IE 8 at work, Google chrome at home. Issue is on both. It's the DLK VW site I also see this with , their forums are phpbb as well.

I just checked Chrome and it seemed fine for me too.
I hit reply on this thread, and typed a ton of text into the message box so that it started scrolling downward.
I also went into an older post that was super long and typed in the middle and nothing weird happened - the cursor stayed where it was.
A scroll bar appeared and nothing was jumpy or seemed abnormal of different than when I tried Firefox and IE9 above.
There are some Javascript functions that run when you are typing in this box that can later the cursor position but it pertains more to highlighting stuff with the various buttons like Bold, Italics, URL, and so on.
One thing that is annoying on a long post is if you go back and, for example, highlight then bold some text in the middle with the B button, the cursor will jump to the end of the text so you lose your place. But it has always worked this way.
IE8... could be jacked up. _________________ How to: Post Photos | Search Everett Barnes - [email protected] | My VWs | My wanted ads

I'll live. Super annoying and it only started doing this...maybe last week. I updated my Java to be sure, but I'm pretty much on lockdown at work, I don't even have admin rights anymore...
just checked chrome and it does it. Must be my work computer... I'll try it at home as well. the scroll bar appears, just jumps back up when typing past the initial scroll bar

Ok, I don't see that occurring here.
I will do some Google searches to see if I can find anything. _________________ How to: Post Photos | Search Everett Barnes - [email protected] | My VWs | My wanted ads
