Alright..
Every so often someone asks about patterns for interior panels and they get the run around..
Normally the people who sell them come on here and direct them to their own ads, which defeats the purpose of someone wanting to make their own.
Soo.. I have a small collection of panels at my disposal and was looking to make up patterns and offer them on here for FREE..
Now here is the problem. I want to be able to offer them as a PDF file or something where the end user can print them out instead of having to mail anything out.
Anyone have any suggestions how to do this? I will trace them and everything but I was wondering about how to scan them to a file.. As I have never had anything like this done I am looking for a little guidance.
thanks |

If you have a scanner, most scanners now allow you to scan straight to a PDF.
If you email me the PDF(s) I can post them here on the site.
If you can only do JPGs, JPGs are fine too.
I can post those as well as make PDF(s). _________________ How to: Post Photos | Search

I did this for door, kick and ceiling panels for my DC probably 20 yrs. ago. I traced them onto standard plan sheets and ran them off on a blueprint machine. I gave them to a couple of friends. Now it would be even easier. A copy shop with large format machines can scan and digitize the tracings. You can then email them. The receiver can load them on a flash drive and have them printed out at a copy place near them. You could also sell the hardcopies.
Don't try to enlarge, cut & paste. If you don't have something to compare them to, there is a huge chance of error. Sometimes you could end up spending more time doing that than if you just started from scratch. _________________ Founding member of

I just finished tracing the front kick panels off of a '59 I have in storage.
I just used standard letter paper.. I can scan each of the 9 sheets
Individually and then stitch them together using PhotoShop. Or just load the
9 individual pages. This way whoever wants them can just print them at home/tape them together and have the template.
This gets tricky with the larger panels because of the number of individual sheets but I think it is pretty effective.(read: cheap) |

Any chance of rear corners and front ceiling?
Never had those in my bus, or even seen any real interior panels, and would really appreciate it.

I will check..
I do not have everything everyone will need..But I Will have early and late door panels, and kick panels, double cab panels, and a few other odds and ends. No 63 stuff.
This isn't hard to do guys. If everyone traces and scans in what they have we can have a decent little repository (or even suppository).
Everyone shares everything else on here, not sure why this has never been done.. |

I'd love to have them too as I spend days and weeks trying to find good OEM panels & to make the best masters for my business.
And since they will be free on here, it will save me lots of feature paid ads fees too.
I can't say for Clara, TMI, Sew Fine or any other BUSINESSES that makes interior panels but for most others on here, this is a hobby to you, but for us it is our livelihood. We feed our families and pay our bills.....
While you're at it, post up the burger chain secret sauce recipe too....
But then again, Split window Bus panels are a small % of my manufacturing business. I still do them for a love of early Buses...
Off my made in the USA soap box now on this. _________________ Werksberg Products....Products that work!

I have a pretty complete set of org. 59 Kombi (Mango) panels out. If anyone needs them as templates, come visit me with a 6-pack (Czech Beer pleeese) and we'll do it (July/Aug 2012 - for future reference. After that, they'll be installed )
How does that sound?
I am using them for another bus as templates as well. _________________ _______________________
