He was the moderator for the off road forum, and a very good one at that.
He was followed by Russ, also a great moderator, super knowledgable
on almost anything VW, he sadly also lost his battle with the big "C"
Ian is our moderator now, and hopefully when he leaves us it is on his own terms, and because he chooses to!!!!!!! F**K CANCER

Thanks for sharing the photo Glenn, really made me chuckle, I guess one could say that one was "Brad" being a "Hamburger", good stuff.

well said steve, Brad said in his last few days ( "be quick to help someone in need, but expect just a little bit back" ) in my retirement years i spend a lot of my time fullfilling this, some of his last words. i love helping the vw folks............ the vw world is full of great people, more getting involved every day.

Man I just read this and I gave me chills, that sucks so bad. Anyone know what kind of cancer? My step dad died of melanoma skin cancer. He could of been saved but it took the stupid doctors took two and a half years to find out what it was Evil or Very Mad . And gave him only six months to live with very little chance to be saved. Sad

Hey guys long time no talk. Its been a year since ive posted on thesamba. For some reason I was remembering this story so I came in to check it out. Im a vw guy/ cancer survivor myself. I think because of the new year I was thinking back onnmy cancer deal and the way its been for others.

The only way I can help people is by spreading the word. U guys CANNOT wait when u notice something not normal on or in yourself. Anything u notice that doesnt seem normal go get it checked. I went 4-5 months ignoring a problem and my wife. It wasnt till a buddy that was already dying told me to go. 1 month later I was in surgery.

Just some advice guys. Who knows what wouldve happened to me.

Rip HBB time flies seems like yesterday I came across this.

So we're planning a trip on the mojave road. Sept.15 thurs. to sept 18. Sun. Leave chino hills thurs morning head to the river (bullhead) turn around and do the mojave road back. Be back in afton canyon Saturday evening or Sunday morning. All capable vehicles welcome.
Dates may change as the time gets near. Pm me if interested.
