Had the car delivered a few days after buying sight unseen. Really happy with the purchase for the most part.. a few little things I wasnt expecting, but thats my own fault I guess for not flying out to look at it first.
But.. I'm loving it
Started to get into for the first time today and started pickin and pulling.. seeing whats what. for the most I've been pleasantly surprised.. which is always good eh.
Some info- It has OG heart rear fenders but previous owner replaced them with snowflakes luckily in the same spot. They also mounted 60s top mount front turn signals on OG fenders But I'll have them welded up and back to stock goodness.
Ill try to keep the crappy phone pics coming

That car is Krazy Kool!!!!!!!
Pretty much like my car bought sight unseen ~ But it's a time capsule
You have a very original car there, which also being a 1955, is a pretty rare find in 2012.
Everyone can do whatever they wish with their car, but as I've suggested at the other thread you need to keep this one all original, go though the car make it 100% road worthly, do PRESERVATION work on the car, (keep that good old car smell) patch up the beige cord with some swatches from Ingrid's fabric and get some vintage 1955 license plates from your state and DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!!
Looks like it's very original outside, swapping back to hearts is no prob and the wheels/hubs even seem to have the original color combo.
Can't wait to see more pix, your a lucky guy to find such an early car here in the states that is STILL this original.

Ahhh ok I think the second version of the Heart Talilights 1954/5 had the Dark Red upper lenses and the Semaphores are SWF "C Code" and have "orange" flat lenses.
That paint looks pretty good, is it the first paint, or has it been repainted??? _________________ OG PAINT L331 1957 TYPE 1 OVAL WINDOW

I'd keep the interior 100% original, that's worth it's weight in Gold and a "Euro" Cloth interior Oval of that vintage is very rare!
I'd still keep the car 100% original, a new interior with an original paintjob, really clashes, the car has a 100% all original patina now and what they say is true your car is only original ONCE!
If you want Red Leatherette, SELL this car and buy another one that already has it, don't DESTROY an original Euro Spec Oval, there's lots of Red Leatherette cars out there, BUT very few Beige Cord Cloth Ovals left that have original interior and that's worldwide................ _________________ OG PAINT L331 1957 TYPE 1 OVAL WINDOW

VERY cool early oval. Keep it original, you're gonna regret it later both in terms of originality and value to the car. If you want to do a new interior, especially a leatherette one, your better off getting a US spec oval that's in dire need of that level of restoration work. This one needs a loving caregiver, not a fashion makeover artist...
(just my personal opinion on the matter).
The ovals killer, enjoy it! _________________ ~Steven G.~

X2...don't ruin it by putting in leatherette. Cloth interior in ovals in the US is rare - keep it as it! Just clean it up. I would mechanically repair the car, fix the tailights, etc. and ROLL IT. I have had all types of splits and ovals over the years and my favorites have always been the ones that are originals. Restored cars never do it for me. _________________ Kevin "Wiggy"
