With adding flares, why not delete the front side marker lites as it looks way better without the hockey pucks sticking out.
Hopefully you have the fiberglass rockers as you fit those first and then align the GT arches to them so everything lines up correctly. _________________ 70 Ghia Black convert-9/69 build date-stock w/133k 1600 SP-barn find now with a rebuilt tranny and engine

That's great be the original ones were only on GT's and the 916. So a set of molds were made out a OEM steel set. This is the correct way to set up the lines of the flares. Buy a FG set to use as a pattern for making steel ones. Even the 916 bumpers were FG IIRC as they were just prototypes..
If you are making steel parts I would love a front LE spoiler as again those were FG from Porsche and if you hit something explode. Ask me how I know.... _________________ 70 Ghia Black convert-9/69 build date-stock w/133k 1600 SP-barn find now with a rebuilt tranny and engine

Lovely work. Some day it would be great just to see your shop in person. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you are in Denver. |

correct way to set the lines???all your showing me is a picture.Isn't that obvious ??? |
There aren't any measurements available that I know of. Many guys install the flares first then fit the rocker piece and have to modify it to have the correct fitment. Sometimes the flares get attached "off" and it just looks funny.
Setting the flares position using the rocker piece and then cutting the body is easier and the flares look right when you are finished.
The picture is of a 916 with Factory flares and rockers so you can see the placement of em all. _________________ 70 Ghia Black convert-9/69 build date-stock w/133k 1600 SP-barn find now with a rebuilt tranny and engine
