I just bought a 2009 Tiguan and was wondering (besides adding a hitch and tow bar) what do I need to do in order to tow my 68 Beetle to shows? I was told to possibly add an oil cooler, but not sure what else might be needed to keep from tearing up my Tiguans engine or suspension.

Towing capacity is 2200 lbs, so you are probably OK if flat towing but you are close to the max, which is never a good thing. If you use a trailer, you are screwed. However, I would suggest going to a Tiguan specific site for towing help. There are forums for everything anymore.
